2) Data Processing on This Website

This website is provided as a static website. The website itself does not use contact forms, user accounts, comments, or non-essential cookies. For the privacy-friendly reach measurement used, see section 5.

No personal data is actively stored by the website operator through website functions.

3) Server Log Files

When this website is accessed, the web server may technically process access data (for example IP address, date/time, requested URL, browser information) in server log files.

Purpose: secure and stable delivery of the website and error analysis.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

Storage period: temporary and only as long as technically necessary under the hosting setup.

4) Contact by Email

If you contact us by email, your submitted data (for example name, email address, message) is processed to handle your request.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual communication, if applicable) and/or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing inquiries).

Storage period: data is deleted when the request is completed, unless legal retention obligations apply.

5) Reach Measurement (GoatCounter)

This website uses GoatCounter for privacy-friendly reach measurement. GoatCounter sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses, no full user-agent strings, and no tracker or user IDs, and does not track visitors across websites. The following data is recorded: requested page, referrer, country and region (for example federal state), browser and operating system, screen width, and language. Country and region are derived from the IP address, and the IP address itself is discarded and not stored. Individual page views are stored together with a pseudonymous session identifier that is valid for a maximum of eight hours. This identifier is a random value; the data used to generate it (IP address and user agent) is held in memory only and is never stored, so the identifier cannot be traced back to a person.

Purpose: understanding how the website is used and which content is of interest.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in reach measurement). No consent is required, as no personal data is stored and no information is stored on or read from your device.

Processor: GoatCounter, operated by Martin Tournoij, Ireland. Data is stored on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany and Finland.

In addition to GoatCounter, this website uses a second, self-operated reach-measurement pixel for city-level statistics. It works like the GoatCounter measurement above, but runs on the infrastructure of wahlkampfradar.de (Cloudflare, Inc., USA): no cookies, no device storage, no stored IP addresses, and requests carrying Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are not counted at all. Recorded are aggregate counts per day and, for human visitors, per city together with the time of day at minute precision (Berlin local time): page path, city and country derived from the IP address (the IP address itself is discarded immediately and not stored), and a coarse human-versus-automated classification based on the browser identification. These remain aggregate counters only (how often a given city appeared at a given time of day); no individual requests are recorded. The resulting statistics are published, password-protected, at katrinbecker.eu/stats/.

6) Recipients

Data may be processed by technical service providers (for example hosting providers) as part of website delivery.

7) Transfers to Third Countries

No deliberate transfer of personal data to third countries takes place through website functionality.
